Episode 189 – All Along with Agatha
The guys discuss the changing of the season and Mack’s distaste for the Fall. Cavman goes into how Mack has yet to see Deadpool and Wolverine and Mack defends himself by noting he doesn’t go out very much anymore. They talk about how social habits have changed lately and reminisce about their old Mall that was the sight of 8 bulls escaping this past weekend. Then the guys review the first two episodes of Agatha All Along. Both guys appreciated the project despite its uneven writing but are looking forward to how the season plays out.

The guys take the opportunity to review Prelude to Axanar, a Star Trek fan project detailing the Federation/Klingon War otherwise known as the Four Years War in the 2240's. In actual canon, Kirk and Spock were active in the war but it was noted that the enemy of the Battle for Axanar was not specified.

Episode 187 – 9-11 and Sci-fi
The guys reflect on 9/11 this year and discuss what they experienced. DT was in ROTC and in shock. Mack was in LA having nightmares about downtown LA burning. Mack shares an amusing Sleepless in Seattle moment. Then they go into how 9/11 affected Star Trek Enterprise. The episode that was filming when the attacks happened and the corresponding Xindi attack arc that took place in season 3. They review Battlestar Gallactica as well as Babylon 5 on how the same themes played in those respective shows from two different eras.

The guys open up with tributes to James Darren and James Earl Jones. They reminisce about some of their best roles and how their lives were influenced by them. Then the guys discuss the different instances od sports in Scifi. Turns out, there’s not a lot but the guys trudge along anyway!

Mack begins by discussing The Gina Carano lawsuit with Disney and why Disney may have not settled yet. Then the guys analyze the latest Star Trek movie: Star Trek Beyond. DT thought it would be a good exercise for Mack to find optimism in the Kelvin Universe but it kind of backfired. Mack goes into everything he found heretical about Beyond and the unnecessary character aspects that were explored in Kirk.

Chevy Chase Fixing the Hot Tub Time Machine
The guys begin by discussing the opening ceremonies of the Paris Summer Olympics. They discuss the first Olympics they ever really remembered with DT Talking about the Dream Team and Mack discussing Atlanta. Then they go into more movies that are otherwise normal with fantastical elements such as What Women Want, Just Like Heaven and Hot Tub Time Machine. DT goes for a Christmas angle in July as well.

They guys open up the discussion with DT anticipating his 4 day weekend coming. Then the guys explore the nature of politics in Sci-Fi. They explore The intrigue in Star Trek VI when the Klingons reached out to the Federation after the Praxis catastrophe and the resistance thereof. They review how the “good guys” in Battlestar Galactica tried to rig an election and a few more!
Episode 180 – Normal Movies that are Fantasy
Mack complains about the weather and it being 117 degrees. Then discusses how he watched Where No Man Has Gone Before from TNG. DT Talks about Shark Week. Then the guys delve into movies that were normal but had Fantastical elements to them like Big and Field of Dreams. Mack thoroughly loves the experience as they explore the deeper moral parables.
Episode 179 - The Guys Found Their Acolyte
So they’re finally doing it. The guys are covering the season of The Acolyte. They go through their thoughts and then lament about the loss of competency in Hollywood and how good stories are told. This season showed none of that and they discuss why Disney bought Star Wars at all if their intention was to push away the male fans.
Episode 178 – Fantasy!!!
The guys use this opportunity to delve into the pure fantasy genre, be it Lord of the Rings, The Sword of Shannara and other fines stories.
Episode 177 – Remaking old Sci Fi Cartoons
The guys discuss their plans for the 4th of July. DT discusses a fond memory of celebrating the 4th at Fort Knox. Then the guys get into how they would reboot GI Joe and other shows like the Pirates of Dark Water into live action TV shows.

The guys expand their previous discussion from Star Trek to all of Sci-Fi now.
Episode 175 – The Dads of Star Trek
The guys open the show with what they did for Father’s Day. Then they cue into their topics of the Dads in Star Trek. Mack thought there would be a lot more bad dad examples but he was surprised to find so many good ones. They even talk about Rom and Data and how they developed as fathers over time.
Episode 174 – Sci-Fi Books
The guys discuss DT’s oral surgery briefly and his concerns for the Comic Con in Boston which seems to be losing celebrities. Then the guys do a first where they refuse to discuss Star Trek or Star Wars and discuss their favorite Sci-Fi Books and series. Mack cover Alternative history with aliens or if the South won the War. DT give another couple series adding onto the theme and then Mack talks about an alien invasion in a freshly post 9/11 America that felt too Star Trek like.
Episode 173 – Stargate For Crying Out Loud

A very much needed retrospective on the Stargate franchise is done with special guest: Dave Wash from These Sci-fi Guys! DT moderates as Mack and Dave explore the franchise, what they liked and what they didn’t beginning with the movie all the way through Stargate Origins.
Episode 172 – The Delayed Western in SciFi
The guys are back and are tackling their Western Episode that they tried recording a few weeks before but tech issues stopped that. They go into different sci fi western shows like Brisco County Jr and Firefly. Then they explore different movies like Avatar and Back to the Future 3. And yes, Star Trek is mentioned a few times too.
Episode 171 – The Happy Meal Episode
The guys discuss their Memorial Day weekends. Then they pull a full 180 and venture into Happy or Feel Good moments in Sci-fi. Yes, that moment is there. And Poker is involved in not one but two of them.
