The guys discuss their weeks and McKay opens up with his rewatching of the Quantum Leap episode What Price Gloria? And he brags about totally nailing it! Then they intend to discuss the Season finale of What If… but move on to The Masters of the Universe show on Netflix and how it was a missed opportunity in a weird way. DT Talks about being the Big Man by getting the entire DVD set of TNG and McKay rants about how TNG’s seasons were $120.00 each. They move on to discussing the show Castle and its throwbacks to Firefly. Finally, they intend on ending on The Simpsons but decide instead to end on the topic for the next episode. And they never actually get to the season finale of What If…
Episode 12 – Hoping to Make Right What Once Went Wrong

The guys open up with DT talking about family life again. They the main topic of the week which is Quantum Leap, McKay’s favorite non-Star Trek show. They reconsider what part of their old neighborhood was drained swamp (hint: McKay’s). And McKay delves deep into how he discovered Quantum Leap at the ripe age of 10 on what could be a controversial/modern episode now. And of course the discussion comes back to Star Trek.

The guys open up with their enthusiasm for cargo shorts and New Balance sneakers and how that trend caught them off guard and now they refuse to lose it. Then they go into discussing all the episodes of Marvel’s What If? Except the last episode which by this recording had not aired yet.
Episode 10 - Sci-Fi-erama!
Today the guys talk about how DT is permanently home and if his family is sick of him yet. They’re not… Mac discusses how Mac Jr got braces and they discuss how the tech for orthodontia has changed in the last 30 years and their trials growing up. Then they dig into today’s topic for Futurama and their love and appreciation for its humor, intelligence and heart. Plus DT gives his Professor impersonation which is pretty darned spot on.
Episode 9 – Grand Theft Lower Decks of My Heart

The guys open up with what they did over the weekend. McKay discusses his renewed love of Grand Theft Auto V and how he’s not into video games but he is. Then they discuss how McKay has a chance to eat crow pie for waiting on Star Trek Lower Decks. He surprisingly likes it and DT goes over the different episodes that were enjoyable and how the show is in fact a good extension of the old Star Trek universe.
Episode 8 – The Trial Never Ends When the Force Reawakens

The guys start by discussing DT’s almost civilian life by being home permanently after being discharged from his base. They then get right into the idea of “Recentcy Bias” and the idea of Force Awakens not being as well liked if it didn’t have as many callbacks to a New Hope even though that was the movie’s biggest flaw. They use this idea venturing into a review of Picard Season 1 with it’s strengths and its flaws. Then they review the trailer for Picard Season 2 and their hopes and expectations for the upcoming series.
Episode 7 – It’s a Beautiful Day in Trek Nation-hood

The guys open up discussing their weekends. DT discloses his retirement ceremony and McKay responds to that honor by saying he spent his time reviewing worn out tropes in horror stories on Discord. They then discuss how they first fell in love with Star Trek, how they influenced each other. Ultimately they follow this up with watching the Star Trek Day Panels and how Star Trek and Picard’s First Duty had shaped them both. And McKay botches both the intro and outro.
Episode 6 – When Shows Go Above and Beyond
The show opens with the guys discussing McKay Jr’s ongoing iPad concerns. DT has another opportunity to be home for the long weekend and retirement looms. Then they discuss the show Space: Above and Beyond, by the creators of the X-Files. They discuss surprise cameos, the impressive production values for such a show back in 1995, and the fact that such a gem was just too far ahead of it’s time to be truly appreciated by the masses.
Episode 5 – Nobody puts Babylon 5 in the Corner

The guys open up with McKay talking about his son’s ipad troubles. DT shares his thoughts and time with Covid while in the ICU last year. Then they delve into the what they feel is the much underappreciated show Babylon 5. Nothing but praise and how that show influenced others because it was ahead of its time.
Episode 3- The Trouble with the Tzenkethe

McKay opens up about why he’s in hiding while DT passes judgement. Then McKay discusses something that has been bothering him for 26 years since the airing of DS9’s 3rd season finale, The Adversary. His problem: Why create the Tzenkethe at all and add yet another war to the recent history of the Federation? DT of course provides useful insight but McKay displays his stubbornness.
Episode 4 - The Solos are Alright. How are You?

DT starts with talking about being home with the family for the weekend. McKay follows that up with his truck’s tire misadventures. Then the guys go into the little known movie, Solo: A Star Wars Story and discuss the plusses and minuses behind it. In the end, there may be more life to that story than originally thought. And McKay slips DT’s real name at the end and has to edit it out again…

Then it goes off the rails with some great stream of conscious discussions on Star Trek, Star Wars, and Battlestar Galactica.

The guys open up with checking in on their families back east after Hurricane Henri rattled through New England. They also reminisce about their experiences with Hurricane Bob 30 years ago. Then DT Shares his experiences in Afghanistan and his feelings about what’ss going on with the fall of the Afghan government. McKay shows what an ignorant civilian he is by asking all the wrong questions. They somehow are able to slip in Bajor and the retreat of the Cardassians in the pilot of Deep Space Nine and how it relates to what we’re seeing here
